Inspired by misty landscapes on a foggy morning, the Nook Vase is part of an ongoing exploration of how we can seek to enhance the beauty of flowers through vases that strategically blur, obscure, reveal, transform or otherwise play with composition, form and colour. By tucking blooms into the Nook Vase they are enclosed in a frosted veil, creating on one side an almost painterly arrangement of blurred forms, and on the other a springing forth of color and life. This object was designed to re-think convention using principles of light and composition, inviting creative and thoughtful styling while elevating the presence of even a single bloom.
Please note that some of the images shown feature a more opaque material than the final design. The final design has a more translucent, light-diffusing finish, as seen in the last images.
Materials: Frosted Acrylic
Dimensions: 3.5”L x 3.5”W x 12”H
Care: Wash with warm water and dish soap. Do not use alcohol-based cleaners, can cause micro fractures in acrylic
